Londýnská crossover - funková skupina (s prvky soulu a jazzu). Trojice Levy - Bartholomew - Kincaid začínala ve sk. Diana Browne & The Brothers. V r. 1988 vzniká první sestava Brand New Heavies.

Album Brand New Heavies už natočili s novou zpěvačkou Ruth. Album Brand New Heavies feat.

N´Dea Davenport je přemíchaný debut, natočený ve složení Jan Kincaid, Andrew Levy, Simon Bartholomew, N´Dea Davenport, s americkou zpěvačkou, která zpívala m.j. na nahrávkách Madonny či George Clintona. Album má jen 1 novinku - píseň Never Stop. Ta se stává velkým hitem. Deska Heavy Rhyme Experience Vol. 1 vznikla bez zpěvačky.

Trojice doprovázela i Jasona Kaye (Jamiroquai). Na jaře 1997 vystřídala Davenportovou kaliforňanka S. Garrett. Album Shelter je opět kritikou chváleno. Davenportové vychází v r. 1998 sólové album.
